AutoCAD Mobile and AutoCAD Web variant
AutoCAD Mobile and AutoCAD Web that are formerly AutoCAD WS and AutoCAD 360 variants is an account based mobile and web application enabling registered users to do various things like view, edit the text, and share AutoCAD files via a mobile device and web availing a limited AutoCAD feature.
AutoCAD WS began subsequently expanded to include arrangements for the iPod Touch, Android phones, iPad, and Android tablets. Autodesk released the iOS version of the software in September 2010, following by the Android version on April 20, 2011.
The software is available via download at zero cost from the App Store-iOS, Google Play-Android, and Amazon Appstore-Android.
In the initial iOS version, AutoCAD WS supported only features like drawing lines, circles, and other shapes, creating text and comment boxes, and managing colour, layer, and measurements — in landscape and portrait modes. Version 1.3 supported other functions like unit typing, layer visibility, area measurement, and file management. The Android variant of the software includes the iOS feature set and such unique features as the ability to insert text or catchy captions by voice command and manually. Both Android and iOS versions of the variants allow the user to save files online — or offline without an Internet connection.
Student versions of AutoCAD
AutoCAD is licensed for free, especially to students, educators, and educational institutions, for a 12-month renewable license available. The student version of AutoCAD is also functionally identical to the full commercial version, with only one exception: DWG files that are created or edited by a student version have an internal bit flag set as the “educational flag.”
